$3.50 Palm Plates Happy Hour at Westin Copley

So although state government decided to protect us common folk by banning happy hours, there are still places to get cheap eats with regular priced drinks. I recently found out about the "$3.50 Palm Plates Happy Hour" at the Palm Restaurant at the Westin Copley. Here's a description from the website:

Monday - Friday from 5-7pm Chef Emily Spinazola created a specialty bar menu for $3.50 per plate. Featuring calamari, crab cakes, kobe beef sliders and more. Fresh oysters $1 each. Located inside the Westin Copley, next to the Prudential shopping center. Daily fresh seafood, steaks and traditional Italian. Wine, Scotch, Beer, Martinis and Mixed Cocktails.

Why I'll Blog

Well I never though that I'd actually succumb to the idea of becoming a blogger but recently a few things have struck me. First, I live in a city which is considered the "Hub of the Universe." To me this means that there should be plenty of things that are easy to find and fun to do... As many of my fellow Bostonians know this is not even close to the case.

Boston is a town that is plagued by mismanagement, constant construction, traffic jams, a sorry excuse for a mass transit system, and awful weather 7 months out of the year. However, I still love this city. This is a city that has given me a career, a place for my beautiful wife and I to live and many happy memories. But none of these came easily, we have struggled to find affordable things to do and I want to give my fellow neighbors an opportunity to experience these and love this city the way I do.
